Sandia Dog Obedience Club: Teaching people and their dogs for over 70 years.

The locks will be changed and we will be renting keys this year starting at the March meeting, but have changed the criteria for who may rent them. We want to reward those that significantly help the club by allowing them to rent keys. The Board of Directors approved two changes to the training regulations with respect to the annual rent of building keys.

The first approved change amended the Keys: Use of Facility section to read “SDOC members in good standing who have been members for at least 3 years, have paid the annual key rental fee of $200, and who have provided at least 50 hours per year volunteer support. Key rental is to a single member only, not to groups of members. Keys are not to be shared.”

The second approved change amended the Keys: Use of Facility section to add “SDOC members in good standing who have Lifetime Training Privileges and have paid an annual key rental fee of $100. Key rental is to a single member only, not to groups of members. Keys are not to be shared.”

Members who are not issued a key as shown below or who do not have Lifetime Training Privileges will need to apply, listing their years of membership and their volunteer efforts for the past 12 months.

When applying, include all volunteer hours that benefited the club, including planning for trials or other events.

NOTE: to apply for a key, use the online form at https://sdocnm.org/key-application
