Conformation Descriptions

Conformation

Conformation: Conformation class is for anyone who wants to show their dogs to try for championship points at conformation shows. It is for any level, from total beginner to seasoned veteran. Whatever your skill level, we'll start there and build, or if you are totally finished product as a handler, we will give your dog the experience he/she needs to be comfortable with the show.

We will cover basic skills like hand stack, free stack, gaiting (the usual patterns are down and back, triangle, and around the perimeter of the ring), baiting, being comfortable with the judge's examination, showing the judge the dog's teeth, and giving expression. We will work with each dog-and-handler team to give them the skills needed for a polished performance.

 

How To Sign Up for Notifications of Upcoming Classes

You can sign up to get notifications of upcoming classes as soon as the class is posted on our website.

Log in or create an account.
Click on Classes in the main menu at the top of the page.
Scroll down to just below the list of classes where it says "Sign Up for Notifications of Upcoming Classes"
Inside the box, delete "No notifications" then click again inside the box and select the categories you'd like to receive notification for. Click "Update Notifications" to submit changes.
