This is a recommended drill to take prior to taking a Rally Novice class or regular Novice drill. This drill will cover skills necessary to be successful in obedience/rally. The skills covered will be, but not limited to:

  • Heeling
  • Recalls
  • Fronts
  • Finishes
  • Stays

The goal of this drill is to familiarize new students/dogs with terminology, concepts and teamwork basics to succeed in obedience and rally competitions. 

It is suggested that each team complete a minimum of 6 drills before transferring to regular Novice drill or Rally Novice class.

The drill will be ongoing and drop-in with electronic sign-up required. The drill will be limited to 6 students to allow as much time with the instructors as possible.

Your completed and signed application, full payment, and proof of vaccinations must reach the appropriate SDOC registrar a minimum of one day prior to the class start date and prior to the time the class limit is reached. Receipt of the application does not guarantee a place in the class. Emailed applications are not accepted. To avoid misplacement, please staple your check to your application.
