The Key Exchange will be at the General Meeting on March 30, 2018

This Spring Lobo Lure Coursing Club will have it all … CATs, Fast CATs, ASFA and AKC lure coursing.  Also introducing LGRA events sponsored by the Racing Union of New Mexico (RUNM).

March 10th and 11th we will be hosting two AKC Coursing Ability Tests and two FAST CAT Tests, (one CAT each morning and one Fast CAT each afternoon) at the Rio Rancho Sports Complex, 3501 High Resort Blvd. Rio Rancho, NM  87144.  CAT/ Fast CAT premium (may need to copy/paste into your browser):

Want to see how fast your dog can run?  Fast CAT is a timed 100-yard dash.  AKC maintains a list of the top-20 fastest dogs in every breed.  Here’s just a handful of top dog speeds of those dogs competing in Fast CATs:  Borzoi 35.39 MPH; Pointer 25.83 MPH; Greyhound 39.41 MPH; Chihuahua 20.45 MPH; Pembroke Welsh Corgi 22.33 MPH; Saluki 36.79 MPH; All American Dog 37.887 MPH down to 2.09 MPH (big variety in the All American Dog category).  Both CAT and Fast CAT events offer suffix titles.

Regulations for CAT (page 33) and Fast CAT (page 37) can be found in the AKC Lure Coursing Regulations rule book (copy/paste into your browser):

We can run some ASFA Hound Certifications in the mornings while the CAT courses are still up $15.  See Event Secretary.
